I recently found out from New Haven River Stewart, Pete Dimenico that The New Haven River is 58 miles long, with watershed that drains an area twice that. So that leaves plenty of water for everyone to fish. Also plenty of water in the mountains for us to enjoy on days when the lower section in to warm. I have had some great luck around Bristol, even a couple fish bigger the 16 inches. There are so many bugs coming off in that area, that it's hard to choose. But luckily, most things that are presented well, will catch fish. Lighter tippets and leaders are suggested. Try fishing between Bristol and Lincoln, or Baldwin or Notch Creek. In the evening watch the flats in the middle and lower sections for risers and fish eating emergers.
