The Midd is low and clear. But on a recent guide trip the river became chalky with the sediment from the 125 construction. This made the river impossible to fish. Several other folks have witnessed the same event. If you are there and see this happen, please call VT F&W water quality department, so they can be informed of the frequency of these incidents. Otherwise we have had some great fun fishing dry-droppers in the pockets. The water pumping down the mountain has started to cool, so look for the area below Rte 7 to start fishing well. This is a great spot for streamers. Look for the baetis!
