A trip to the Nesh is always enjoyable. It had recovered very quickly from the influx of the storm water that is pumping through the Addison County streams. You can easily sneak up on fish and see them actively feeding, but getting a fly to them can require a bit planning. The water was pretty much clear when all the other rivers were still pretty dark. I only saw caddis coming off but I'm sure their are several mayflys hatching in normal water conditions. The small water above Brandon towards Goshen is another great brook trout area. Give it a try sometime.

The Nesh if a great fishery this time of the year. Fish will come out of the Otter and offer a fisherman an oppertunity at Big fish in a small stream. You can usually spot these fish before you start casting to them. Be Sneaky!
