It's no secret that the Otter has fished very well this year. But spells of warm weather like this week will slow the Otter down a bit. The hatches I've seen on the Otter during this warm weather are just at dark and after. I usually take a head lamp with me and fish a bit after dark. A few times the water got to warm so I let them be those nights. If you haven't tried fishing the Otter before 7am in the summer yet, this is the week. You might just surprise yourself with what the fish are doing. A solid hatch of Cream Varient white mayflys have been hatching in the evening. Trout seem to been grubbing hard on the golden stone nymphs in the fast water. Streamer fishing after dark can also turn some larger fish. I have also been catching some nice Smallmouth from the drift Cataraft, So if your looking for a guided private float on the Otter give us a call.
